I'll be direct: Volusion had its moment around 2012-2015, but the platform has not kept up. The bankruptcy in 2020 was a red flag, and while they've recovered, the app ecosystem is essentially nonexistent compared to Shopify's 8,000+ apps. If you're on Volusion now and it works, fine — migration has real costs. But if you're starting fresh, there is zero reason to pick Volusion in 2026.
