Frequently Asked Questions
How does the time zone converter work?
Our converter uses the built-in Intl.DateTimeFormat API available in all modern browsers to accurately convert times between any two IANA time zones. All conversions happen instantly in your browser, accounting for daylight saving time changes automatically. No data is sent to any server.
Does this tool handle daylight saving time?
Yes. Because we use the browser's native Intl API with IANA time zone identifiers (like America/New_York), daylight saving transitions are handled automatically. The converter always shows the correct offset for the selected date.
How do I find the best meeting time across time zones?
Use the Meeting Planner tab. Add up to 6 participants with their time zones, and the tool visualizes working hours (9AM-5PM) for each person. Overlapping work hours are highlighted in blue so you can instantly see when everyone is available for a meeting.
What time zones are supported?
We support 40+ major time zones covering every inhabited continent, including all US time zones, major European cities, Asian financial hubs, and Oceania. The tool uses standard IANA identifiers like America/New_York and Asia/Tokyo.
